| 3/25/09 Today I had the pleasure of fishing with a good friend of mine,Bob Lindsay.It had been a while since he'd been on the boat,so we were looking forward to the day.We headed out of the marina @9Am,to fish the outgoing tide.We notice the birds working a pod of baitfish,so we pulled up and dropped anchor.Within a few minutes,we could see the Redfish "tailing" in the grass.We were fishing live shrimp on a Abu-Garcia 802 series reel,rigged with 10lb Fireline.There's nothing like fishing for Redfish with light tackle.We hooked up our first fish shortly after arriving.We were able to boat 10 Reds,3 over 27 inches.The other 7 fish ranged from 16-23 inches. | April & May 2009 Aprils fishing was good this year with nice catches of Redfish and Trout.May fishing looks to be strong as well.The Trout fishing has been excellent the last couple of weeks,with good numbers and good quality fish.The fish have been biting a variety of baits,including mud minnows,shrimp,and artificials.
